City of Nowata 4th of July Celebration

July 4, 2015 @ 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM

FREE

Festivities are being planned for Nowata’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration.  The event will again be held at Jack Gordon Park on Saturday, July 4th, with activities beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ending with the fireworks at dusk.

The fireworks are being provided by donations from Chamber member sponsors and others, with the largest contributors being the Harmon Foundation and City of Nowata.

The event will consist of many activities for families to do at the park, which is always a big hit, with its games, turtle races, and auction.  The celebration will kick off at 12:00 p.m. with hamburgers, hotdogs, sno cones, drinks and ice cream for sale from the Nowata Fire Department, followed by free children’s games, water for the kids to play in and get cooled off–provided by the Nowata Fire Department and a Jupiter Jump, at 4:30 p.m., the turtle races with cash prizes for every participant will be starting at 5:00 p.m., the Chamber’s fundraiser auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. with our City Manager, Eric Epperson as the auctioneer again this year, and the free watermelon feed at 8:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs for Fireworks at dusk!

The Chamber is still in need of auction items for the auction. Any gifts would be appreciated. For more information on how to donate an item for the auction, please contact the Chamber at 918-273-2301.
